The head of the Geita Prevention and Combating of Corruption Commission (PCCB), Leonidas Felix, has banned voters from eating pilau for the winners of the October 28 general election this year and those found guilty will face severe legal action.

Felix issued the warning while speaking to reporters yesterday, saying voters' food for the victorious leader is to receive food rations, which will make them powerless to question the activities that lead them to development.

In addition, he said eating food for the winning candidates is the end of the agreement between the candidate and the voter. Because to do so a victorious leader cannot afford to take them forward because they have finished on the pilau.

Felix said voters should now change their minds to eat pilaf instead of attending rallies to listen to candidates' announcements so that they can make the right choices by October 28, this year.

In addition, he urged voters to keep their voting IDs and not to allow unscrupulous people to buy them and those found to be doing so would face severe legal action.

He said voters should realize that the responsibility of their vote is the justice they need, the stability they need, the peace they need and the development they need in their areas of residence.

In addition, he urged voters when they see candidates and their entourage arriving at their homes by giving them various gifts to report to the PCCB offices nearby.
