Dkt. Maria Kamm ndiye mwanamke wa kwanza wa Tanzania kupata Shahada ya kwanza (Degree) na leo ametunukiwa tuzo ya heshima katika tuzo za Malkia wa Nguvu zinazoandaliwa na Clouds Media.
Mama Kamm ambaye aliwahi kuwa Mkuu wa Shule ya Sekondari ya Weruweru iliyopo Mjini Moshi, mkoani Kilimanjaro, akiwa kama Mzalendo wa kweli, ametumia maisha yake kwa kiasi kikubwa kuwashauri na kuwaelimisha vijana katika masuala mbalimbali ya Taifa.

Born in Iringa June 1937, Dr.Kamm attended Tosamaganga Girls School, Loleza Girls and later Kilakala Secondary School. In her later years she studied at St. Mary Notredame, Indiana for her bachelors degree and Syracuse University NYC for here masters.
She started teaching in 1965 and since then have taught at Machame Girls, Rugambwa and Weruweru Girls where she inspired and motivated thousands of girls whom later became very successful women in different fields. She retired in 1992 after registering the Mama Clementina Foundation to help educate young girls who were impregnated while still in schools.
Being very inspired by Mwl. Nyerere and his education philosophies Dr.Kamm founded the Mwalimu Nyerere Foundation in honor of Mwalimu’s great legacy. A mother, a teacher, a politician, a business woman and a philanthropist, she is a shining example of a true phenomenal Tanzanian woman achiever.
