Deputy Minister Office of the Prime Minister Policy, Parliament and Coordination Hon. Ummy Nderiananga has encouraged development stakeholders and individuals to continue to cooperate with the Government by donating humanitarian aid materials during disasters.
Hon. Ummy said this when she made a business visit to visit and inspect a warehouse for storing humanitarian aid supplies during disasters in the Northern Region located in Chekereni, Moshi Rural District in Kilimanjaro region.
He said that the support of the government from the stakeholders is helping the people to reach the services quickly due to the disasters that have occurred which cause harm such as death, permanent disability, damage to property and infrastructure.
"I call on various stakeholders and people who are affected to cooperate with the government by providing equipment to do so perhaps at the level of the District, Region and even the village so that we have enough so that when they happen we provide help quickly," he urged Hon. Ummy.
Also Hon. Ummy emphasized the maintenance of the warehouses, a step that will help the equipment to last for a long time and be ready to be used when needed in disaster areas.
In addition, he praised the leadership of Kilimanjaro region for their willingness to provide humanitarian aid to citizens suffering from disasters with the aim of helping them return to their original state.
On his part, the representative of the Assistant Administrative Secretary for Economy and Production in the Kilimanjaro Region who is the Animal Husbandry Officer in the Bwa Region. James Shao said the Kasikazini Regional warehouse serves Arusha, Manyara, Kilimanjaro and Tanga Regions.
