The government is determined to continue to hold Collaboration Sessions to make a joint reflection on the activities carried out by the Office of the Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania and the Office of the Second Vice President of Zanzibar.
The statement was made by the Minister of State, Office of the Prime Minister, Parliamentary Policy and Coordination Hon. George Simbachawene at the first meeting of Cooperation Sessions at Ministerial level held at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities Hall in Kikwajuni Zanzibar.
"This collaboration is inevitable and fortunately all the governments belong to the Chama Cha Mapinduzi. We must meet regularly so that we can evaluate how we are implementing the election manifesto".
This is a good step we have reached and we must improve the schedule further, so that we go beyond the level we are going now, said the Minister.
"Let's not end up meeting at this level, let's put in place a coordination mechanism to bring together groups and especially young people so that they can understand our Union and friends so that it has the benefits intended by our founders of these two countries".
And the Minister of State, Office of the Second Vice President, Policy Coordination and the House of Representatives Hon. Hamza Hassan Juma has said that our union is unique and continuing to meet like this is strengthening the ideas of our union founders.
"We sit and talk about the affairs of the Ministry and our institutions but we remind each other of the importance of the Union and our unity".
